Game Makers Lab (10-15 years)

9-Week In-Person Course for Ages 10-15

Duration: 9 Weeks

Session Length: 60 minutes per week

Step into the world of imagination, strategy, and hands-on creativity in our Game Makers Lab — where kids and teens don’t just play games… they create their own from scratch.

From designing characters and rules, to building boards, crafting ceramic game pieces, and packaging it all into a finished game — this course blends art, design, problem-solving and storytelling into one epic project.

By the end of the term, each participant will walk away with a fully playable, handmade game they designed themselves.

🔧 What Students Will Learn

• How to design and plan a game from an idea

• Creative thinking and problem-solving

• Basic game mechanics (rules, turns, objectives)

• Illustration and visual storytelling

• Working with mixed media (card, paint, clay, etc.)

• Ceramics basics (creating & finishing game pieces) • Confidence in bringing an idea to life

No experience needed — just big ideas and imagination.

💰 Cost: $285 for 9 week term (all art materials, firing & glazing included)

Enrolment is for the full 9-week term. By booking, you are committing to the entire program and the full term fee of $285.
No credits, transfers, or refunds are available for missed classes or early withdrawal.
All materials are purchased and prepared in advance for the term, based on enrolment numbers.
If your child is unable to attend a class, we will do our best to provide a brief catch-up activity or summary the following week, but we cannot offer replacement classes.
In the unlikely event Art Escape needs to cancel a class, a make-up class will be offered or a credit applied.
